About us

GÜL GROSS MARKET opened in 1987 as a small greengrocer at its current address. Today our single 12,000 m² store, with more than 340 employees, serves families at retail and restaurants, cafés and grocers at wholesale. We have no branches; everyone works under the same roof and knows each other. Most of our department leads started at the till or on the shop floor, and our master-apprentice programme offers a clear development path for every role.

Role summary

We work directly with more than 180 local producers. You will lead price and quality negotiations, join producer visits and plan orders with department leads.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier meetings and price negotiation
  • Following quality and sample checks
  • Order and stock planning
  • Assessing new supplier applications

What we are looking for

  • Degree in food engineering, agriculture or business
  • At least 2 years in purchasing
  • Advanced Excel
  • Able to travel for producer visits
